Well, Marksburg had sat there in my basement, unfinished
for quite awhile. I finally figured out why. I enjoy watching the
trains go around and around and around and around and around and around
and around and around and around and around and around and around and
around and around and around and around and around and around and around
and around and around ... I think you get the idea. Click here to see pictures of my Main Layout "Marksburg" (current version) See 30 second movie clips on this page here !

I started with "Z" scale in the early 70's when my Grandmother and Uncle in Germany sent me several starter kits, etc. After playing for many years, I finally had to store it. After 10-15 years, I decided to get it out again. I was heading to Germany to see my uncle, and after having seen the prices at my local hobby shop, I decided on a layout in the old Marklin Track Layout Planner Book, counted what I had and needed. I counted my pennies, and then while in Deutschland for a week, I was able to fill a good 90% of what I needed for 1/2 the cost. My Uncle, my Mom, my Wife and my Parents helped fill the rest at Birthday and Xmas. Click here to see pictures of my Main Layout "Marksburg" (old version)

| My briefcase layout took all
of 1-2 hours to put together (once I had all of the pieces - I had only 7
of the 8 pieces of curved track Argggh!). For those I come
across who have never heard of "Z" scale, it is a nice demo
unit. I have taken it to several family functions, etc.
